Biographical sketch

Anne Collier Orgain of Alberta, Virginia was born in 1927 to James R. and Mary Alice (Clarke) Orgain. In 1945, Orgain enrolled as a student at then-Longwood College and earned her bachelor's degree in 1949. While a student at Longwood College, she served on the Rotunda (student newspaper) staff, and was a member of the YWCA, Granddaughters Club, Spanish Club, Dramatic Club, Varsity Hockey team, and the Cotillion Club.

Ownership and Custodial History

The item in this collection belonged to Anne Collier Orgain while a student at Longwood College. It was later acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when the collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
