This t-shirt, which dates from 1981, belonged to Brenda Nell Coleman. The shirt was produced for the Longwood Oktoberfest in 1981 and was modified by Coleman’s fellow members of Geist with the addition of iron-on names of that years Oktoberfest Ushers and Meisters.

Biographical / Historical

Brenda Nell Coleman of South Hill, Virginia was born in 1960. In 1978, she enrolled as a student at Longwood College and graduated in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in English. While a student at Longwood, Coleman was a member of Lambda Iota Tau, Kappa Delta Pi, and Longwood Colleagues. Additionally, she served as Vice President of Geist, Honor Board Chairman, Sophomore Class President, Treasurer of Alpha Psi Omega, Feature Editor of The Rotunda (student newspaper), Editor of The Virginian (yearbook), Vice President of the Longwood Players, and Orientation Leader.
