Biographical / Historical
Barbara Ann Bolster of Roanoke, Virginia was born in 1939 to Herman Alvin and Leanora Cooke Bolster. In 1957, she enrolled as a student at Longwood College and graduated in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. While a student at Longwood College, Bolster served on the House Council and was class treasurer. Additionally she was a member of the Roanoke Club, Alpha Psi Omega, Kappa Delta Pi, Delta Zeta, the Lychnos Society, Cotillion Club, French Club, the Baptist Student Union, and the Longwood Players.

Custodial History
The item in this collection, which belonged to Barbara Ann Bolster, was later acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when the collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
